You want to eat healthy, but you don't always have the time to prepare fresh food? Fortunately, there are more and more ready-made solutions that are organic and make it easier for you to get that healthy bite. Here are 3 tips to help you quickly eat more organic food on a busy day.

Organic soup!

Soup is quick to heat up. It can be a simple and tasty snack or an alternative to tea or coffee.

Soup is a good start to the meal because it contains a lot of water and vegetables. So with a plate of soup you already have part of your daily intake of fluids and vegetables. In addition, soup is low in calories and contains many valuable nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre.

If you eat a plate of soup first, your stomach is already somewhat full. This ensures that you eat less of what is left on the menu. Handy if you are watching your weight.

Making soup is easy. It is also handy to use up all kinds of leftover vegetables.

But not everyone has time (or energy) to make fresh soup. Or you have no room in your fridge or freezer to store all that freshly made soup.

We found organic soup packed in sustainable bags. You can pour the soup into a pan and heat it while stirring, or you can let the closed soup bag simmer in hot water for ten minutes. It is even quicker to heat up the opened soup bag in the microwave for a few minutes. So simple!

Even if you don't have time, thanks to these quick soups from Auga you know that you are getting delicious and healthy ingredients. A healthy and more nutritious alternative to today's quick soups.

Tip: add some beans to a soup or eat a piece of bread with it and you've even had a full meal!

Eat more beans and chickpeas

Beans and pulses are very nutritious and make you feel satisfied. They are high in protein, iron and vitamins and are good meat substitutes. We should all eat more of them. The reason why we don't yet is possibly due to the fact that beans contain anti-nutrients such as lectins, phytic acid and saponins. To avoid these, it is important to soak beans long enough before eating them and then heat them. Not really interesting if you have little time for fresh cooking.

Fortunately, organic producers are now responding to this. They realise how valuable beans and pulses are in a varied diet and certainly in vegetarian dishes.

The Lithuanian company Auga put its entire production process into creating a range of ready-to-eat beans. You do not even need to rinse them. Just open the bag and add the beans to a salad or some leftovers from the day before. With some vinaigrette or pesto underneath, you can have a tasty meal or lunch in no time. In soup, they provide extra flavour and filling. Organic, ready-to-eat and full of flavour!

Ready-to-eat breakfast

Finally, breakfast is always a tricky point for people with a busy schedule. Breakfast is important! Your body needs fuel in the morning to get going and perform.

Oatmeal used to be the standard for a hearty breakfast that could get you through much of the day. Oatmeal contains slow sugars that provide long-term energy.

A quick smoothie or protein shake is more appealing than boiling porridge when you want to get out of the house quickly. But sometimes you just want that 'bite' instead of a liquid breakfast.

Chewing is good, by the way, because it signals to the digestive system that something is coming and your brain starts to produce satiety hormones. And feeling satisfied is more pleasant to work with.

Did you know that there are organic oatmeal mixes that you just need to add some boiling water or warm vegetable milk, stir, wait a few minutes and you're ready to go? They even come in individual cups with oatmeal and fruit. That's even easier to take to work or on the go.

The fact that you have to get out the door in a hurry is no longer an excuse for not having breakfast.

Organic is often seen as expensive, but these ready-to-eat solutions aren't that pricy and worth every penny. You save time and still eat fresh organic food. Better for your health and better for the environment.
