Jasmine Green – Organic Jasmine Tea Based on Green Tea and the Scent of Jasmine Blossoms

Numi’s Jasmine Green is jasmine tea based on Chinese green tea. The green tea originates from the first Fair Trade tea plantations in China, where the wages of the plantation workers are 30% to 40% higher than the average plantation wages. 

Numi is known for never using artificial fragrances or flavourings in their teas. For the production of this jasmine tea, Numi has also chosen to use organic ingredients only and has refused to use any chemical additives and flavourings. Instead, the tea is produced from organic jasmine blossoms.  

How is Jasmine Green Made?

In the springtime the organic green tea leaves are harvested and laid down to dry until the end of summer, which is when the jasmine blossoms bloom. The jasmine blossoms are picked in the morning because at this time they are still partially closed. When the blossoms upon up at night, the green tea will absorb the jasmine fragrance. For this Jasmine Green tea, Numi makes the effort to carefully expose the green tea three times to the scent of the jasmine blossom. This ensures each Jasmine Green teabag has a rich & sweet jasmine flavour for you to enjoy.
