This potpourri contains rose-buds and rose-leaves from Iran and Bulgaria. They are organically harvested and were dried and treated with Rosa damascena oil. Rosa damascena oil is known as the real, purest rose oil and is extracted from the Damascus Rose by means of vapour distillation, which is grown in Bulgaria primarily.
The rose has been associated with love forever. For the ancient Greeks the rose was the flower of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty. It is also said that the scent of rose-leaves opens people up to love for themselves and the world around them.

Packaging is just as important as the product! The Rosas Damascena Flowers of Amanprana are sold in jute bags. Jute isn't just bio-degradable; it also has a low CO2 and water footprint: it absorbs large amounts of CO2 and thereby counters the greenhouse effect! And it is cultivated during monsoon season to absorb rain water and thereby counter erosion. It is also used as a natural barrier, to protect rice and potato yields from pathogens.
