This was and still is the simple and honest mission with which Elina Cima created the Munio Candela studio and the first collection of scented candles in 2008. Her sisters Laura and Liene soon followed her, making it now a steadily expanding family business.
With this expansion comes new products such as fragrance sticks and wax melts. That is also why the name changed from Munio Candela to The Munio. Munio Candela means The Most Spiritually Powerful Candle in Latin. Each candle is carefully and lovingly handmade by Latvian artisans using only 100% natural soy wax and delicious scents derived from essential oils.

Candles using soy wax are a great alternative because they contain no toxins and pollutants and produce significantly less soot than kerosene candles.
